The Electoral Commission of the Republic of Fiji has welcomed the appointment of two (2) new Electoral Commissioners, Ms Nicola Vuetilovoni and Ms Raumanu Georgina Pranjivan, whose appointments restore the Commission to its full complement ahead of Fiji’s upcoming General Election. The Commission also welcomes the reappointment of Commissioners Ratu Inoke Loganimoce, Mr Nemani Mati, and Mr Reginald Jokhan to fresh terms, strengthening the Commission’s capacity to fulfil its constitutional and statutory responsibilities.
Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Honourable Justice Usaia Ratuvili, formally welcomed the new and returning Commissioners during Electoral Commission Meeting No. 5 of 2026, noting that a full complement of Commissioners is essential as the Commission prepares to undertake its supervisory and appellate functions during the electoral period. The Chairperson reaffirmed that the Commission, together with the Fijian Elections Office, forms Fiji’s Elections Management Body and remains committed to ensuring the delivery of credible, secure and transparent General Elections.
“Our role is very clear under the Constitution and by statute. Collectively with the FEO, we are the Elections Management Body for Fiji. The General Elections will be carried out by the FEO the SoE and Secretary to the Commission”, said Justice Ratuvili.
Ms Vuetilovoni brings more than three decades of leadership experience across architecture, project management, property, tourism and corporate governance. She has served in numerous governance roles, including as Chair of Habitat for Humanity Fiji, and currently serves as a Director of Uluda Holdings Limited while contributing to regional development and sustainable tourism initiatives through several community organisations.
Ms Pranjivan is an experienced legal practitioner with expertise in public law, governance and commercial litigation. She previously served for more than 11 years in the Office of the Attorney-General before joining private practice and has represented Fiji internationally, including during the country’s COP23 Presidency. Her experience spans statutory governance, legislative review, international negotiations and corporate law.
The Electoral Commission looks forward to working with all Commissioners as preparations continue for the next General Election, with the shared objective of upholding the integrity, transparency and credibility of Fiji’s electoral process.
